Everyone Made me Do it!

Believe everyone in the make up community now knows what's in these boxes ...

I actually may have been the only neutral eye loving beauty blogger that had, no count it, absolutely no interest in this palette. I had seen it in passing a few times in person but never saw the hype. Never bothered to get it while it was still in stock.

Soon after this palette was pretty damn hard to find! All of my friends were on the search so I of course helped.
( Following UD on Twitter helps - they tweet often about sites that have the palette in stock)

During the "drought" period I was almost bombarded with videos, posts, and raves about one of the best beauty items of 2010. Was I missing something here???
All the "def woth the hype" jargon got to me ( I am so easily persuaded - and just sneakily added an extra one to my cart when ordering for others )

When I heard Sephora were going to have these palettes "soon" I was ready. When it was finally back in stock I bought more than one - the other two are for my friends - Let's not go nuts =X

So it's time to see what the hype is about

The shades are obviously beautiful, easy to wear, and not outrageous.
Unlike other UD palettes there isn't a row of colors where you know you will end up not using. Which is probably why this was so appealing to so many people! The chances of you actually using every color is def high.

12 FULL sized UD shadows for $ 44 dollars (Very good deal! )
6 Permanent shades
1 re promoted shade
5 new exclusive shades
1 dual ended pencil in whiskey and zero - whiskey is a new shade
Mini Primer potion

Swatches

Have any of you purchased the N*ked palette? Was it worth the hype to you?

P.S. I know I have asked this before, but do you guys know how to enlarge the pictures when posting on your blog? I tried to make these swatches bigger but to no avail...

  1. I like this palette, I use it alot, to me it takes no effort and when I'm in a rush it's dummy proof. I also bought a few more last week when Sephora restocked them.

How are you posting your pictures? Are you using photobucket or another photo hosting website or do you upload from computer to blogger? When you take the photo what size do you have your camera set to? If you try to enlarge a photo from a smaller size it wont turn out right you have to have your camera set to take larger photos.

  2. If I ever start wearing eye makeup I this would be one of the first things I'd turn to because of all the hype lol How do you like it so far?

Hm..I don't usually upload images to blogger. I upload mine to photobucket and then I'm able to resize, etc through html. If it works the same way if you go to where it says < img src="___" > ... put width="__" and height="__" after the last quote and before the end bracket. Sorry if this doesn't help too much :X (i hope the html coding shows as text in the comment..lol)

  3. If you're uploading it via blogger, then when editing, hover over the image. A pop up bar will appear below the picture & you'll be able to align it left/right/centre but also change the size small/medium/large etc, & lastly it'll say original size. Click that.

As long as your original image is the size you want it to show on your blog, that's the best option without losing image quality. I always make my images huge xD 700px wide. & I use the original size option.

Also, jealous! I'm still waiting for Naked to be restocked in the UK :(

  8. So funny, when they first came out I just happened to find a store that had 4 of them and ended up buying them all. Two for friends and 1 for a giveaway. They really are great palettes.
