~Chanel Haul~
Don't expect myself to be writing a post with such a title again for a looooooooooong time =P
Until then, these are going to keep my Chanel lemmings at bay =)

Love the Chanel Packaging!

The Prize - Soleil Tan De Chanel
I have been lemming this for years. Unfortunately just about every Chanel counter is always, count it, ALWAYS sold out of it!
Bless my boy friend who followed me through so many counters to find it one day =)
The texture is hard to relate to in terms of make up. I heard someone say it felt like soap? They're pretty right! like smooth soap, haha. It also has a pleasant smell.
The tint is natural, and I plan on using this & my Dior bronzer this summer!
Matte perfection

Chanel Mystic Eyes Quad
As always, comes in a luxurious pouch

Yes I know, I know, another brown and pink palette???
This is my last one, I swear! =P ( for now) I just love pinks and browns! I think I can really get the most use out of palettes like these. Especially when I am investing more money into certain brands. I usually choose to purchase safe, but use able things

I was torn between this palette and Wintery Nights? Mystic Eyes won because the browns!
The grey shade is quite sheer and a bit patchy in comparison to the other shades
One snag about this quad are the applicators. I actually really like to use applicators on the go, and Chanel make really nice ones! Unfortunately the way these are particularly packaged when you open the compact, they're always slipping around and touching/dinking up the shadows =\

Last is a mascara
I actually haven't worn mascara in 2 months, and truthfully don't miss it! so of course, I go and buy a high end one! I remember reading CafeMakeup saying this is her new HG so, I couldn't resist!
Chanel's Inimitable Intense Mascara
Let me just state, this stuff smells like paint, or paint thinner, I cant decide
It claims to volumize, lengthen, and curl
I believe it does curl and lengthen, but not the biggest volumizer. The formula is a bit wet, but not as wet as Maybelline the Falsies. I think I will wear this daily, and see how it ages, some mascara's work better with age *cough* Cover Girl Lash Blast *cough*
I do like it so far.

Swatches (Left-Right)
Soleil Tan De Chanel, Mystic Eyes Quad

OMG Ok this is just crazy, I just told you I want Soleil Tan de Chanel and you got it! Yes! Enjoy it for me too until I get it, it looks so gorgeous! I love the eyeshadows too, they all look so pretty! In fact too pretty to use :)
ReplyDeleteI've been lemming Soleil Tan for awhile as well. I haven't heard anything but rave reviews so it might have to head to the top of my list.
ReplyDeleteI tried that mascara but it wouldn't work for me. =( It goes on so nicely but it flaked off, even when I used an eyelash primer with it. I hope it works for you though! Everybody's different. I know a lot of people can't wear Diorshow and Diorshow Iconic is my HG. Biology is funny like that. =)
A title post that I probably won't ever use for the time being lol But it's always great to see others! ^__^ So many people rave about the soleil tan de chanel! What a weird texture? I was expecting more of a cream/hard mousse :P
ReplyDeleteWow, the Soleil Tan de Chanel is absolutely gorgeous. The eyeshadows are great! I would def buy the same things you did because they are everyday staples :D Why not use Chanel each day of your life? :) Life is too short! hehe
ReplyDeleteYay Chanel! I love the Mystic Eyes quad. I have the Soleil Tan de Chanel, too, and while I *want* to love it, I think it runs too orange on me. :\ I also got a sample of the mascara, and I liked how black it was, but it flaked pretty badly. I hope the same doesn't happen for you!
ReplyDeleteThat Chanel Bronzer is my all time favorite bronzer. I hope you love it and that it was worth the hunt.
ReplyDeletethe words "chanel" and "haul" go together so nicely =)
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the colors of the chanel quad - and chanel inimitable has to be my all time fav mascara. very noir thanks for sharing
great post honey!!!!!
ReplyDeletecongratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxx
I too have put myself on a spending ban (since last night) so I might join you in your P10P. But once I'm off of it...I may have to pick up the Soleil Tan de Chanel...it's too gorgeous. I was shocked that you haven't worn mascara in 2 months. If I don't wear mascara I look like a zombie.
ReplyDeleteSoleil Tan De Chanel is something I would love to try. So many make-up artists have it in their kit! Fantastic haul!

I love Chanel makeup!! I really love that bronzing base too - so glad you finally got one!
ReplyDeletei love chanel make up but i dont actually own any.. i think i'll treat myself some time soon. i was thinking about bronze universal too.. i used to work opposite a chanel counter and they were always sold out of the product^^ must be good~ show us some fotd with it~ or a product review would be helpful^^ xx
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of the bronzing base, and it's quite a nice texture too. It's funny, because although it is a *base* I had only really ever used it as a bronzer/contour. I like it much better when I use it all over as a base like Lisa Eldridge did in her recent video. The quad looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy goshh~ Chanel! hahaha Yeah, I unfortunately don't own anything from them.
ReplyDeleteTheir eyeshadow quad looks AMAZING~ jealous* haha
I've heard a lot about Tan De Soleil, strange that you say it feels like soap though ahah! I'm curious about this mascara but I wouldn't buy it myself as I've been disappointed with high-end mascaras so far ):
ReplyDeletethe day i can title a post 'chanel haul' will be the best day of my life! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is the best haul ever. I don't own any Chanel makeup, only nail polishes That's crazy as I'm also dying to get the bronzer universel :)
ReplyDeletelovely chanel haul! the quad looks pretty , especially the lighter shades.. i am down for more chanel rouge coco lipsticks ahaha

ReplyDeleteI only have the Soleil Tan in my make up collection. Although I love the texture, I hate that it's not travel friendly :(( I'm eyeing the bourgeois bronzer for travelling :)
ReplyDeletewhat brush do you use with the Chanel bronzer? i kno everyone has their own methods im still trying to fig that thing out
ReplyDeleteI really love the fact that you always answer to our comments ! It really feels like we have interactions between you and us! In other popular blogs, it doesn't seem we are being read, that's why I don't often comment on blogs :/
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I saw Lisa Eldrige (I think, forgot how to spell her name) using a kabuki brush and then buffed the surplus on her hand.
I also read somewhere that some used stipling brush (not sure if that's called like that, that brush with black and white bristles at the end), but some of the bristles would stick to the bronzer...
As for me, I'm only using my fingers, I know it's not the most hygienic way to do that, but that's the easiest way I found...Hope it was helpful :D
awww thanks girl!!! now with disqus it is ALOT easier to comment back than before with blogger. Yup I did see that video with Lisa. I have tried a few stipling brushes but i think my brush hairs are too old and weak now so theyre not as sturdy. I have not used the bronzer yet bc I am ALMOST finally done with the bronzer i am currently using so I will get to it soon! and hopefully find a good method. Thanks for sharing ur thoughts!
ReplyDeletehahaha ur last line is so funny
