I have been for going foundations and tinted moisturizers for just concealer and translucent powder which is minimal, but uninspiring
The "spice" part of my routine have been the new cheek combinations I have been playing around with

This weeks rotation:
For bright cheeks:
Top Shop Neon Rose + Stereo Rose
For a Healthy Flush
Stila Petunia + MAC's By Candlelight
Peach Glow
Stila Gerbera + MAC Melon pigment
I tend to wear the "bright cheek" combo during the weekend when I can get away more from office life
Healthy Flush found it's name because Stila Petunia is my color of health! Blended out it becomes my natural flush color after the gym. By Candlelight is my favorite MSF and I will take any excuse to use it
Stila Gerbera is a more peachy pink but Melon pigment is a more dark peach orange melon color that has a reflex of almost green gold (amazing)
Thank you Danielle for the amazingly generous pigment sample!!
For the peach combo I cant wait to get off P10P and get my hands on Stila's Gladiola or MAC's Something Special which would make this pigment combo outstanding~!
The tool I use? My ever so fancy ELF fan brush, applies the perfect amount of product to get your glowing cheeks! I fan it over the whole cheek and when you move in the light it gives that whole side of your face the *glow*

Because you place the cream blush as a base, the loose thin layer of shimmer powder is able to stick on the base and lasts most of the day
R-L Petunia with By Candle Light, Gerbera with Melon Pigment, Neon Rose with Stereo Rose
See how amazing Melon is??

I would've never thought of doing a blush combo aside from the usual highlight+blush. How gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to try it? It's really fun to think of combinations! it's nice to have full on glowing cheeks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Usually I layer different powder blushes to get a similar effect, but I bet because of the cream base, this method would last longer! I'll definitely try this out! Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeletei luv gerbera with melon pigment~~~~looks very summer bronzey~~~~luv ~~~~
ReplyDeleteOOh love them all! I still cannot believe I haven't tried Neon Rose with Stereo Rose! Pulling those out right now to use tomorrow! And mourning the fact that I don't have By Candlelight! ;) it looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteOh, and thanks for the shout out too, I happy to share the lovely Melon with you ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I will. I don't have any cream blushes (TMI but they make me oil up/break out so I gave them away) but I'll make it work. I'm going to try Melon and the non-overspray part of My Paradise to see if it's a dupe of My Paradise with the overspray. Could be something to fall back on once that gold layer runs out.
ReplyDeleteIf you find any amazing combo's please do share!
ReplyDeleteit's my favorite combo so far!!!
ReplyDeleteMelon is the best pigment i own ( most used) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SAMPLE!! =D
ReplyDeleteI actually got that combo from another blogger but it's awesome! watch out bc its def PINK haha but i love it!
ReplyDeletetry it! experimenting is part of the fun
ReplyDeletePetunia and By Candlelight look SO amazing together! I'm still bummed out I missed out on Stereo Rose :( I was in France when In The Groove released so I was too late in the US and too early in Europe!
ReplyDelete♥ Jessica
awwww well to be honest I would have rather had a trip to Europe than Stereo Rose! =P
ReplyDeleteLovely combos :) I have been experimenting a bit as well: I love tarte's l/e cheek stain in glam topped with a peachy blush like Urban Decay's score, or even e.l.f.'s Peachy Keen. I am eager to get some cream blushes soon and apply them as bases for tons of new blush looks. Great post!
ReplyDeleteSo bummed I didn't get By Candle Light, it's gorgeous! I do have Melon though, so I will need to experiment and see what I can do with it. Thanks for this great tip, I was thinking what to do with it because I just don't wear it on my eyes that often. Don't even remember the last time I did actually lol Gladiola is on my list though :) My glowing cheek combo is achieved by Laura Geller's Honey Dipped, it's more of a bronze glow but I love it. It looks good with a bit of Bella Bamba above it too! :)
ReplyDeleteyour combo sounds great!!!! Ive eanted ELF Peachy Keen forever! lol
ReplyDeletehoney dipped+bella bamba sounds gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteMelon I have been using LOADS! a complete melon head i have been ( literally)
Rubenesque on the lids with melon on top, then gebera with melon or a peach blush and use melon as a highlight, I need the full size bc I have been whizzing through the sample
Lovely combos! the first combo reminds me of a NARS Orgasm a little and I really must check out Neon Rose when I goto Topshop in the UK :D My cheek combos have been boring as of late. Check Stila lithium I think you'll like it XD
ReplyDeleteohhh i fgt one actually! Nars Cactus flower with Nars O on top! Lillium is pretty!!! i have swatched it before! but I have MAC's lillicent ( so similiar in names and color!~) Hope u get many wonderful things in the UK, i heard they have a new cream blush called head over heels which looks very cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty cheek combos! I'm a bit sad I let go of the opportunity to get by candlelight I think twice..It looks so pretty!
