Onward to Hong Kong!

Journey continues now to Hong Kong

Side Notes

*This was my 3rd time visiting Hong Kong so I did not re visit any tourist destinations*
*Ever been on a plane as they ready it for the next group of passengers? an army of a cleaning crew get on and completely revamp the plane in about 15 minutes- very well organized*
*The Mona Lisa in the picture is made completly out of toast!*
*You are staring at a solid gold Winnie the Pooh - you would not believe the line to take a picture of that guy*
*The cartoon picture of the girl is the free wallpaper I foolishly downloaded when waiting in a queue which ate up ALL the broadband I purchased! ><*
*I am convinced the world has far better subway vending machines than NY does- oh wait - WE DON'T HAVE ANY*
*In HK you can purchase for travel, high end samples including Dior, and SKII*
*One of the days my boyfriend and I wondered why a mall was so packed- turned out to be the exact location for a 22 minute spectacular fire works show - Packed in HK is SERIOUS*
*I ate a stupid crazy amount of Toast Box on this trip*
*I was in Hong Kong during 2 typhoons - they take their warnings there very seriously and all the stores closed =(*
*Two must have stops for me are the mango dessert store and the King of Coconut mmm*

  7. Oh my gosh! I love HK! I lived there for a year and your pictures are bringing back great memories.
I take it you *didn't* pay before taking the photo of the Dapper Darth Vader? heh heh.

So, what's on your list of must-buy cosmetics/skin care?
My dad's going to HK soon and I want to make a list of things for him to bring back to North America for me but I don't have the slightest idea what. :( Do you have any great Watson's finds? Any must-haves for an Asian with an NC20/25 complexion?

  9. In Asia I really wanted to buy Maquillage, Lunasol, and Shu Uemura products. I purchased a Luna sol foundation - water gel foundation, I am NC 25 and was matched to OC 03, I can also wear OC 02 when I am more NC 20 like
From Lancome I picked up their teint miracle items but for the whitening line which is asia exclusive, Dior and Chanel also have Asia exclusives, and estee lauder has hydrationist serum which is exclusive. I would only purchase asian brands and not brands you can buy at home, unless they are asia exclusive. I also purchased the new bourjois foundation in 53, Nomrally I wear 52 in healthy mix, but they offered more shades so i purchased 53

    hope that helped!

  13. It seems like from your pics that Hong Kong is a lot more hustle and bustle than Singapore.

I certainly lingered over the food for even longer in this post. It's giving me huge Chinatown hankering!! I heard that Haagen Dazs is so expensive in China. I don't know how expensive, but I was reminded of it when I saw the ice cream. The Toast-a-Lisa is also quite wild and wonderful. What a fun selection =)

  15. There is a JS boutique in NY! I have never been there - it's somewhere in Soho. I have tried a few of her products. Her blush quads are very pretty! and i love the eye jellies! her shadows have a bit too much fall out for me, but the packaging is just too princess pretty!!!

  17. You are right! Singapore is far more lax and slower than HK--HK is like GET READY FOR BZ!!!
Haagan Dazs really is expensive in Asia! The mini cups were like 13 dollars US!!! >< All the HG stations had like no customers!! lol I did not have any on vacation haha
