New Things I am Excited For and Need to Try!

Current things that I am dying to try!!

NARS Tinted Moisturizer

Released in Nordstrom on February 1st but will be officially released on February 15th!
I reviewed the color choices and am between the shades Alaska and St. Moritz!! Umm how different in shades do those sound??

La Mer The Eye Concentrate

I am officially out of anti wrinkle eye cream. I have not been out of anything in years. Not without some new back up or duplicate waiting in the wings. I am saving my pennies for this one. A few of my co workers use this and seem to think it's worth the price tag, we shall see.

Last but not least Chanel's Illusions d'Ombres in Emerveille and Illusoire

I love these shadows, and I really want these two shades but I just cannot justify the purchase with so many other cream shadows in my collection. The minute I finish Bare Study Paint Pot I think these will be extremely well deserved!!
Do you know how hard it is to finish a paint pot??

Last new thing I HAVE been trying and started this weekend, PINTEREST (I finally gave in)

On a last note, I wanted to share one thing I was FORMERLY excited for but when swatching the real thing was unbelievably dissapointed.
The Bobbi Brown Ultra N*de Eye Palette in the Newest Neon and N*des Collection.
Have you guys swatched them? the texture was awful....

Oh well, still many more things this year to look forward to!!

What are some items you are excited to try?

  3. it looks like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua!! the shadows have the most incredible texture! Emmerville is not exactly unique but i like the texture better than Bare Study which I refuse to let go until it's completely gone!

  4. The NARS tinted moisturizer is something I'm really excited for too! I've been on a lighter foundation kick so I think I will like it.
I've tried that La Mer Eye Cream btw, didn't notice anything really special about it to tell you the truth. It never really did anything besides moisturize, so yeah. The one I really want to try that I've heard great things about is the Prevage Eye Serum.

  5. The Nars tinted moisturizer is exciting news! Too bad I have quite a few bases to use up and it takes me FOREVER to use up foundations and base makeup in general :( I have my eyes on Epatant and Illusoire but I'm trying to convince myself that Chanel makeup is really out of my budget since I'm only a student haha. Just wondering, when you were in college did you splurge on beauty items? :)

  7. omg foundations take FOREVER i have never even finished one. I have only finished BB creams!

LUCKILY in college I was not into make up AT ALL. I was DIRT POOR. I wore the same make up every single day from 17 to 22 yrs old! haha just loreal concealer, some random black liner pencil for the waterline, and Dr Pepper Chapstick. My whole collection fit in my pocket. Wow, I was super low maintenance.
I owned 1 mascara in those yrs and never even finished it!

  9. YES the Bobbi Brown I was like WHOA, why does this feel like this??? Past palettes were of better quality in my opinion.
If you are afraid of breaking out, perhaps asking for a sample but from what I have experienced and seen in reviews NARS bases seem to work with many skin types including problematic, but of course everyone is diff
Good luck! hope you get some nice lippies!

  14. Wow! That's really interesting! I always felt like I jumped onto the bandwagon late because I only started wearing makeup somewhat regularly last year during my freshman year of college. Haha, it's really interesting how much we change over time :)

  21. Hahaha I have tried creme de la mer, i have NO IDEA why but it's really.. powerful! u only need a TINY bit! its crazy very concentrated. I heard the eye cream is $ bc it has gold as an ingredient!
I have tried NARS sheer glow, it is nice, but I prefer MUFE Face and Body for I prefer a more sheer coverage to let my skin show, but NARS Sheer Glow is nice!

  23. hehehe i only started wearing make up my second year or so working bc I started to look BAD at work. Late night and long hours made me by concealers for my eyes, blush for the face, and the rest is history!

  24. YES, same! It broke me out so I returned it to Sephora. hahah I'm so glad Sephora allows returns for used items. Can you do a review or swatch post on Deelight? I love the color.....or from the pictures that I have seen online. Does this mean I definitely need to splurge and buy myself the Nars base? :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. oh i bought it and kept using it on and off so it was too late to return :(
I can swatch deelight in the future but I have yet to open it bc i dont like to open many lippies at once
