Revlon Lip Butters Flash Review

The newcomers of the drugstore lip stick aisle that are taking up a storm!
The Revlon Lip Butters!

Ok ok, maybe storm is not the right world, but there was definitely a search mission announcement when these starting to pop up in stores around the country

And ughhhh NY I love you, but why did we get these so late?? Even Canada got them before they arrived here T.T

This is really going to a flash review this time because no time to rant today! (Lucky you!)

>>>The colors are all quite springy! There are a few n*des and a few deeper shades but a majority of the collections are spring peaches and pinks

>>>The lipsticks range in opacity, some being much more like what you see in the bullet and others being sheer washes (Most are on the sheer side)

>>>They go on smoothly and have a nice shiny finish, like a potted jelly lip balm in a tube form

>>>They are unfortunately not very long lasting on my lips and if I do not eat or drink anything, they last about an hour

>>>The packaging is cute, the color of the tubes correlate to the color in the lipstick, and the tops are clear so you are able to see what color you are purchasing

>>>These do not dry my lips out, and they feel hydrating initially, but for the shades with shimmer, I do not think they hydrate my lips as much and once all the color is wiped off they do feel a bit dry with shimmer pieces on my lips (eck)

>>>These are pretty affordable and are more accessible now, the price is ok, but even better with a drugstore coupon!! Just don't buy so many at once like me! I had gone mad.

>>>I think these are great just swipe on and go products for spring and summer!

>>>I have quite a collection of these now, and went a bit mad when I finally found them but I do regret a few of the choices, some of the colors were a bit over hyped for me, but this is due to my skin coloring, and personal preference

My favorite shades are Candy Apple, Peach Parfait, and Berry Smoothie
Sweet Tart seems like a fun one for summer!

Swatches
L to R: Creamsicle, Peach Parfait, Sweet Tart, Berry Smoothie, Tutti Fruity, Candy Apple, Cherry Tart

Now to try the Maybelline Baby Lips!!!

Hope you liked my super flash review!

  7. I somehow managed to hauled a bunch but the only one I really like is sweet tart (since my natural lip color enhanced it a bit so it's not as sheer). Anyway, maybelline balms are harder and goes on as a sheer/wearable tint on me, if I smack my lips too much the baby lips will wear off rather quickly and leave my lips drier.

  11. The colors look so fun and happy! The only thing that discourages me is that they're not long lasting.

  12. Love the look of these and can't wait until they come to the UK! Can i make a small suggestion (i hope you don't find it rude) - it would be better (for me anyway) if you swatched products somewhere other than your wrist as it makes me feel a little sick to look at veins - i can't even look at my own without feeling sick haha! x

  13. I love these so much but I have to admit, I'm wearing tutti frutti today and while I love the color it brings out every little flake on my lips.. argh! other shades don't really do that so I don't know why tutti frutti is such a pain!

  27. I don't find it rude at ALL! I actually noticed that while i was taking the photos :(
I did try to swatch them on my arm but i have become so pale lately my veins show up to my elbow @.@ maybe I should add a bronzer layer over my arm before my swatches...
I will try to fig something out, I dont want any of my readers getting sick!
    So sorry about that!
