I actually don't know who started this idea but I learned it from Michelle Phan. LOL.
I have been trying to use up this Dior lip gloss from my collection which is one of my favorites and will show you, if you have 5 minutes, how you can make the most out of your favorite glosses.
1. Grab the gloss you think is almost done
2. Dip the gloss into a cup of hot water and wait 5 minutes
*Twiddle thumbs*
3. Salvaged gloss!
Look at how much I have left!!
I try to do this with all of my lip glosses to get the most out of each tube!
Now, on to the reason why I have been posting slightly less:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Need to get this fixed!!!! But on a happier note tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!!
Cheers to the long weekend for those off on Monday!

O M G at the amount of product saved! I have seen this trick before but yet to try it myself, this kinda motivates me to use up some lip glosses just so I can try this tee-hee! Happy (almost) Friday lady! :)
ReplyDeleteWow that is one awesome trick!!
ReplyDeletewow i need to try this with my favorite mac lipglass i was sad when it finished and kept trying to get stuff from the side lol thanks for the tip!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat trick. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant beauty trick in action. I usually just stand them upright in a glass and hope they'll trickle down eventually.... this looks faster :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome gloss tip! I am in the middle of finishing off a few fave glosses so I really want to get the most out of them. Will for sure try this!
ReplyDeleteBOOO at your computer though, how irritating.
What a clever tip! I've actually never used up a full size lip gloss. I'm just not diligent enough about using them - but I do have a sample size or two that I'm sad to see nearing the end :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a helpful trick. I'll definitely try it out on a couple of my lipglosses :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, nice tip! Honestly, I never use up that much gloss anyway :( I'm so bad!
ReplyDeleteoh wow1 I didn't know you could d that! I'm totally going to try that with my lip glosses - I seem to go through those the most!
ReplyDeleteI remember watching this video from Michelle Phan when I first started with all this makeup stuff :) I haven't had to use this trick yet since I'm not even half close to finishing any of my glosses -_- lol....
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen this before! That is brilliant! I will definitely be trying that with my favorite glosses. But maybe not with my not-so-favorite ones! ; )
ReplyDeleteWow, that awesome!!! I think to do this pronto with my mac glosses.
ReplyDeleteMichelle P. has some good tricks and tips. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh wow cool tip, will try this out with a few of my glosses!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
xo
I kept doing this with my NARS gloss but it didn't work! I tried with hot water from tap - nothing. Tried with slightly cooled boiled water and still nothing!
ReplyDeleteHope your comp. problems GO AWAY!
Ahhh I saw this tip from Michelle phan ages ago.. it is no wonder she's a millionaire by now!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trick! I didn't know you could do that. I will have to find a gloss that's almost used up and do this. Thanks for sharing. Did you get your problem with your computer resolved? I hope so! I get SO frustrated with technology issues. For something that makes everything so convenient it's the biggest headache when it doesn't go as planned!
ReplyDeleteDamn right!!
ReplyDeleteYes!! i havent even looked into it :( i am currently not @ home so i cannot try to investigate. So I have been using phone apps to edit my photos then my phone was not working! i was like NOOOOOOOOO but i fig it out now, the phone anyway!!! the comp, next week!!
ReplyDeleteAhh im so surprised about the amt of comments I rec on this post... haha I thought many ppl knew and no one would care about this post, boy, blogging sure teaches you alot of things!! im glad i got to teach others!!
aww thanks about the PC!
ReplyDeletei read your comment yest and thought about it. i think its the NARS packaging, they use plastic but the outside of the plastic is diff from other glosses, its more.. rubbery feeling?? I think with any other gloss with the more plastic casing this should work no prob. it has worked on my MAC and other glosses. Hope this helped! please do try this with other types of brands!
*Gasp* I had to comment because I rarely see someone with such a large box of PG Tips!! And that's in your office right? I don't think I can leave NYC (for grad school) for Chicago without bringing my own box of PG Tips with me either. I don't think I can survive without my tea!
ReplyDeletePlus thank you for the lovely lip gloss tip! :)
hahahahaha PG tips! SO GOOD! love it nice and strong! i have a package of English biscuits in my desk also to have with them!!! I love how they sell them in Target and Duane Reade, I always have a big box of tea!
