Skin Care Inventory

I have been VERY good (I think) about buying new skin care products. Meaning I have been buying no new skin care for experimenting since mid 2011!
The only thing I buy are things I am 100 percent out of every single back up for.

I dug into the skin care drawer, and pulled out a few "new" items to add to my routine. I am determined to finish all the countless products I had purchased in my past before buying anything new.

First up is something that I did recently purchase because I was truly out of all anti wrinkle eye creams in my skin stash

Shisiedo's Future Solutions Ex:
My first heavy duty anti wrinkle eye cream. All the ones I have tried in the past were more for prevention, now that I have crows feet (despite all my efforts) I decided to kick it up a notch.
Shisiedo skin care and I have a luke warm history but I have heard excellent things about their anti aging products.

I have been using this for about 1.5 months and see a difference. My laugh lines are not as deep as they once were, they don't seem to be extending any longer, and this cream seems to be keeping them at bay!

The packaging states you can use this around your eyes and laugh lines around your mouth but I only use it on my eyes really

The cream itself is incredibly thick so you don't need much per use, so this incredibly expensive cream ( I admit it, it really is...) seems to WORK and I currently have no regrets at all about this baby

La Roche Posay Effeclar K:
I've used this for about 3 weeks, and after the first night I broke out. Ahh the familiar "let's purge" process. Though it looks like crap on the face, this is actually a good thing
(I keep repeating that to myself)
I know it's just bringing all my impurities to the surface. I cannot comment on how well it will control my skin as we are still in the bumpy beginning stages, but I will see at the end if I prefer the Effeclar K version of an anti acne treatment of Effeclar Duo. A previously used item that I love!

Clinique High Impact Mascara:
I have a few mascaras in my collection but I always only open one and use one. I picked this up from one of the Sephora sales as a recommendation from the Pixiwoo sisters and must say, LIKING IT!!
I've never had much luck with Clinique mascara's but this one gives nice natural volume, slight length, and looks amazing once the lashes are curled

I purchased these today. Spring means my oily T zone is breaking to the surface and loose powder is showing to be no match! Once I complete my current toner I will be using Lush's Tea Tree Water which is one of my favorite Lush products.
I also grabbed a lip scrub by the cash register. Mint Julips! I'm going to have some sweet lips!

  1. The Lush toner looks really refreshing! I love tea tree oil, it works really well at combatting any small breakouts for me. I really like the Lush grease lightening...it can be a bit drying but controls oil for the summer months

  2. change in weather = tons of breakouts for me. I think I'm going to have to make some major changes to my skin care routine for the next few weeks! And I love that lush toner too! It's really cooling - I remember last summer I used to just spray it on my face "just because" :D

  8. Your skincare stash is moderate compared to mine! I have skincare that will probably last me till next year... I bought my mum the shiseido eye cream so I know how expensive it is! But I'm glad it works, and may consider it when I have a bit of 'extra' cash.

  9. Mint Julips is such a winner! Good choice on scent, I think it is the nicest one they make. I have the Shiseido Serum from that line (which is also crazy expensive ah!) but I love it, I really do :)

  11. You are so good to not buy more while using up stuff you've bought! I've been attempting this, too.
I can't believe you'd have crow's feet, though! I wish I could use a richer eye cream but they always, always give me milia -_-

  15. i think it helps SLIGHTLY keep the my skin clearer. In the summer all the extra oil buildup can lead to spots and this toner is quite refreshing and helps me comat the lil spots.
Quite light for oily skin but i only use this seasonally.
