WARNING WARNING, color DESPERATELY needed in one's wardrobe.

When I decided to do this "What I Wore this Week Post" I realized I wore an obscene amount of grey this week....could I be more dull??

Anyway, a short summery on my outfits of the week. Hopefully potential posts like this remind me to try to attempt some color and liveliness into the working wardrobe!!

Tell me, how do you transition your wardrobe through the seasons because it is evident I have yet to leave the winter colors behind

  1. Your working wardrobe is great, professional and with pieces with individual cuts or fabrics to show your personality. I love the starry blouse.

My working wardrobe deoends on where I am and what I'm doing. If there are meetings or patients to see then I have to be smart and usually wear wool or cotton trousers from M&S or Jaeger depending on the season. On lab-based days I wear smart jeans- comfortable but if I get pulled into a University meeting then it is ok. Always flats for trotting about and light layers on top for going from department to hospital with super high heating.

  2. These look great! I'm a huge fan of the dress/blazer combo too. It's professional, but just girly enough. I have a quick question. I've been going back and forth about getting a LV speedy for YEARS now, and every time I finally save up enough, I decide to get something else that's cheaper. Should I just bite the bullet and invest in one?

  3. hmmm actually..im not sure.
I think it depends on how often you are going to use it. I originally got it bc it was cute and trendy but i didnt use it again for years ;( but LATELEY i have brought it BACK. It's time less and bigger than it looks! I have the Speedy 25 and it fits in my coffee tumbler, make up bag, glasses, powder, wallet etc! i think it's quite timeless and great for the office. I admit sometimes it's kinda lousy to carry it ( im used to shoulder straps) but if you work somewhere or have a living where more demure but classic items are accepted I think this is a great piece. It's small but fits everything, it goes with MANY OUTFITS, and it has a life time warranty or forever??. If something happs to the bag just bring it back to the store and they will either fix it or give u a new one. The service is superb, and the only real gripe i have is that handle...
I always thought it was a more winter piece but i have been wearing it all spring. If you wear neutrals this will go with everything and be always by your side!

  4. I know what you mean! It's just so easy to buy and wear neutrals, especially black, navy blue, and grey. But when spring rolls around I get so envious of people in color; it just make you want to run out and shop for color and pattern. Currently I still have my winter/fall wardrobe out only because the weather is so unpredictable here. How I typically transition, is I am a huge fan of layering. Most of my tops are often tanks or made of silk, so in the fall or winter I just layer sweaters or blazers over it. Only down fall, no matter how much I layer; I'm still cold.

I was recently TAG, and now I'm tagging you.

  6. I wear a lot of gray, cream and other "boring" colors throughout the year because they're so darn easy to pull off. I try to inject bits of color especially in the warmer months. I never really have to wear office attire (since I'm a student and I'm probably not going to work in a strict corporate office anyway) so I can play around more with my clothing. Maybe try adding some colorful flats or heels or some bright jewelry pieces. Scarves are awesome and they can look sophisticated in different colors :)
