20% and Below - Tip on how to finish products overall

Now, this just may be a personal pet peeve, but I actually can't stand when a product is "kinda" done.
When I see products in my collection that are about 80% used up, I actually find it a bit annoying....

I live in a very small apartment, and when I see something that's pretty much on it's way out, I think why do I keep things that are this done? Taking up space in my mouse house??

Every once in a while I will gather all of them up and put them all in a spot that is painfully obvious to me - most likely right smack dab on the middle of my desk so I can't avoid seeing them every. single. day.

Then it begins, the process of just using those items every time that product type is needed, and eventually finishing them all together.

It may be a pet peeve, but it leaves me from being surrounded by more than half empty things in my house, so for this, I am thankful I am a bit crazed at times.

Expect these in a future finished products post!

  1. You will always be the queen of finishing products! I have been trying really hard to stick to a routine. Doing that really makes you use up stuff (ahem my smashbox trio with one pan used up!) Ooo I wonder what MAC cream blush that is...

  3. I get like that. The last 1/3 always drags out, I've told many a nearly empty product that I hate it.

  4. You are so diligent with finishing things :) I feel the same way sometimes but even still I can't help but get bored of using the same eyeshadow or blush everyday :( Things like base makeup and brow products are easier to stick to!

  9. i get bored sometimes too so on wknds or on random days i change it. If i make myself use it when i dont want it i just end up hating it and it dosent go anywhere, but i do try to pick items i like!

  15. Mouse house! Haha xD
Your pet peeve actually works in your favor. I still admire your diligence.
I don't even have makeup items close enough to finish so that I bundle up and use at once. *sigh*

  22. Oh I agree! I absolutely loathe it when you have a product that's so close to being finished yet not quite there... I have so many "nearly finished" bottles and jars of products that I really should get rid of, and leaving them out to see is a great idea! Good lucky with emptying them :)

  23. I think you are really good about finishing stuff. It might be annoying to see stuff like that but you sure know how to find a solution!!! ;)

  24. I find almost-finished products annoying. I want to get the darned thing off my spreadsheet, asap! However, I'm not the type to overuse my shampoo, for example, for the sake of emptying the bottle. I'm best at finishing skincare; not so much with makeup. I've hit major pan on my Cargo Tonga blush and I will be done this year!

ps I have a guilty pleasure to disclose: I like looking at your "How I Finish Up Makeup" posts because they inspire me to keep at it. :)
